Rush Announce Qualifying Offers for 2026-27 Season

July 8, 2026 - (RAPID CITY, S.D.)- The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, announced Wednesday the club has made qualifying offers to seven players ahead of the 2026-27 season. The following players have been extended qualifying offers: Forwards (4): Parker Bowman, Cameron Buhl, Maurizio Colella, Darian Pilon Defensemen (3): Hunter Donohoe, Riku Ishida, Sean Strange Players who had already signed a contract by July 7 did not need to receive a qualifying offer. Logan Nelson Returns to the Rush

July 7, 2026 - (RAPID CITY, S.D.)- The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, announced Tuesday, in an Active Life Chiropractic roster adjustment, Logan Nelson has returned to Rapid City and signed with the Rush for the 2026-27 season. Nelson, 32, is back in the Black Hills after two years with other ECHL clubs. The veteran forward signed on with the expansion Tahoe Knight Monsters for the 2024-25 season, then captained the Greensboro Gargoyles last year before being dealt to the Fort Wayne Komets in March. ... Rush Announce Hiring of John Mitchell as Assistant Coach

June 29, 2026 - (RAPID CITY, S.D.)- The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, announced Monday the hiring of John Mitchell as the team's Assistant Coach. Mitchell, 39, joins the Rush from the North American Hockey League's Wisconsin Windigo, where he served as Head Coach for two years, including the dual Head Coach/General Manager role during the 2025-26 season. Ryan Wagner Returns for Third Rush Season

June 24, 2026 - (RAPID CITY, S.D.) - The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, announced Tuesday, in an Active Life Chiropractic roster adjustment, the club has re-signed Ryan Wagner for the 2026-27 season. Wagner, 30, is the first player to be signed and announced as the Rush build the foundation for the 2026-27 season right away.
