November 22, 2025 - PROVIDENCE, R.I. - In a clash of Eastern Conference titans, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins stood tall with a 1-0 defeat of the Providence Bruins on Saturday night at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
With no room for error, Joel Blomqvist denied all 27 shots faced for a shutout that propelled Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (13-4-1-0) back to the top spot in the East. Rutger McGroarty provided the night's only goal, scoring for the second time in as many games to start the season.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (12-4-1-0) dominated pace, possession and shots through the first 28 minutes of play. However, unable to build more than a one-goal lead, the Penguins were left stunned by four unanswered Wolf Pack goals across the second and third periods.

November 16, 2025 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have reassigned goaltender Maxim Pavlenko to their ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers.
Additionally, the Penguins have released goaltender Jaxon Castor from his professional tryout agreement. He will also report to Wheeling.
Pavlenko amassed a 3-1-0 record in four games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and went undefeated (3-0-0) as a starter. He made his AHL debut in relief during a Nov. 7 visit to the Rochester Americans, stopping 16 of 17 s... Full Story
