January 21, 2026 - Medicine Hat, AB - Four former Medicine Hat Tigers players have been named to their respective countries' roster for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan, Italy. 1997-born defenceman Kristians Rubins was named to Latvia's Olympic roster. The Jurmala native spent two seasons with the Tigers from 2016 to 2018, posting 51 points in 109 games played. Tomas Kundratek was selected to represent team Czechia. January 21, 2026 - Calgary, Alta. - The Western Hockey League announced today the 44 NHL Draft eligible players set to compete at the 2026 WHL Prospects Game presented by Showpass, which is scheduled to be held Wednesday, February 18, at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.
