New Orleans VooDoo News Release
The New Orleans VooDoo trimmed their roster to 24 players today to meet the Arena Football League mandated limit. Following the conclusion of training camp, the club is now in preparations for their Saturday, March 3 season opener at the Utah Blaze.
Today, the team waived/injured WR Donovan Morgan, released WR Anthony Hines and placed QB Danny Wimprine on injured reserve with a back injury.
The club will also have a four-player practice squad. Today, the club signed DB Demetrius Derico, OL Chris Ekueme and WR Chris Maddox to the practice squad. All three players participated in VooDoo training camp and had been waived by the team on Friday, February 23.
