Thunder Announces Several Roster Moves

Wichita, KS (Oct. 13th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today several roster moves in preparation for Opening Night.
Forward Triston Grant has been released from his tryout agreement and signed to an ECHL Standard Player Contract. The team also announced that forward Alex Krushelnyski and goaltender Scott Greenham have been assigned to the Thunder by the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. Defenseman Macoy Erkamps has been assigned to the Thunder from the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators. Forward Jack Rodewald has been released from his tryout agreement with Binghamton and added to the roster.
Defenseman Dalton Reum has been traded to the Atlanta Gladiators for cash considerations. Lastly, forward Brad Cuzner has been placed on waivers.
Grant, 32, is a former ninth round draft pick (#286) of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-1, 212-pound forward out of Neepawa, Manitoba brings a wealth of experience to the roster. In 640 American Hockey League games, he has amassed 153 points (73g, 80a) and 1,707 penalty minutes. He has also played in 11 National Hockey League (NHL) games with the Flyers and Nashville Predators.
Krushelnyski, 25, played the past two seasons for the Utah Grizzlies, registering 117 points (42g, 75a) in 130 games. The Los Angeles, California native also spent time with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack and Norfolk Admirals, appearing in six games. He was signed in the offseason by Binghamton and attended to their training camp. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot, 180-pound forward played a four-year career at Colorado College where he tallied 101 points (42g, 59a) in 158 games.
Greenham, 29, is entering his sixth professional season and spent the last two with the Evansville IceMen. Last year, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound netminder out of Addison, Ontario went 11-9-3 with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. He also played in six games for Binghamton, going 3-1-0 with a 2.19 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage.
Erkamps, 21, signed an entry-level, three year contract with Ottawa on April 1st after having a career season with the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings. A native of Delta, British Columbia, the 6-foot, 196-pound blueliner piled up 71 points (13g, 58a) in 71 games while adding a plus-47 rating. His 71 points were second among all defensemen and his 58 helpers ranked first in the WHL.
Rodewald, 22, appeared in Ottawa Senators rookie camp and attended Binghamton's camp at the beginning of October. The second-year pro out of Winnipeg, Manitoba recorded 47 points (18g, 29a) in 62 games last season for the Orlando Solar Bears. He also played seven games for the AHL's Toronto Marlies.
The Thunder kicks off their 25th Anniversary season on Saturday, October 15th against the Tulsa Oilers. Season tickets are on sale now. Place a $25 deposit for up to four seats and pay it off in 14 payments. Contact a Thunder representative at the office today.
