Richmond Flying Squirrels News Release
Erie, PA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Erie SeaWolves scheduled contest for Tuesday night at UPMC Park has been postponed due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions. Richmond and Erie will make up the contest as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday, July 25. Both contests will be seven-inning affairs to close out the Squirrels current seven-game road trip. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. Following Wednesday's doubleheader, Richmond will pack up the bus and return to The Diamond for a four-game series against the Reading Fighting Phils on Thursday.
Thursday in Funnville includes a celebrity appearance from former Virginia Tech football head coach Frank Beamer. Beamer joins Virginia Tech Night driven by AAA. In-Your-Face Fireworks follow the contest, presented by Wawa. Tickets and information can be found at www.squirrelsbaseball.com or by calling 804-359-FUNN (3884).
