Cincinnati Jungle Kats News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - After a week off, the Cincinnati Jungle Kats are back on the field as they will take on the Albany Conquest this Friday night at 7:00pm from Times Union Center in Albany, New York. The Jungle Kats are 1-8 while the Conquest will search for their fourth win of 2007.

If the Kats plan on defeating the Conquest this week, they will have to thwart the attack of starting QB Ryan Hart. Albany's signal caller ranks in the af2 top 5 in three offensive categories, including passing average (270.2 ypg), total offense (2450 yds), and pass efficiency (118.8).

"We're gonna be using a different offensive system beginning this week, so we are going to have to score often against a talented Conquest team," said Kats Head Coach Tony Missick. "Defensively, our DB's have to get better and the entire defense has to have a ‘bend but don't break' mentality. It's a very important week for us to turn things around."

After spending several weeks on the injured reserve list, the Kats will once again have the services of WR Derin Graham as they battle the Conquest. Despite missing the last three games, Graham still paces Cincinnati's receiving corp; before the injury, Graham had compiled 484 yards and 8 TD's. He has three more TD grabs than both of his closest teammates, Hassan Brockman (5 TD's) and James Lewis (5 TD's).

Fans can hear all the action of Friday's game on 1530 HOMER - The Sports Animal beginning at 6:45pm or watch the game live via the B2 Network. The Jungle Kats will return to U.S. Bank Arena next Saturday, June 23rd when they will host the Louisville Fire at 7:30pm. Great tickets for the game are available by calling 513.381.TURF or online at www.JungleKatsFootball.com.
