Hogs Look for Third Straight Win Tonight
February 9, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill.- Closing out a season long road trip with back-to-back wins, the Rockford IceHogs (22-23-1-1) return to the BMO Harris Bank Center to square off with the Houston Aeros (23-18-4-3) tonight at 7:05 p.m.
The matchup with their South Division rival is the fourth and final during the regular season with the season series tilting Houston's way. The Hogs show a record of 1-2-0-0 against the Aeros in 2012-13 and 17-13-0-2 in 32 all-time meetings.
The first 2,500 fans through the turnstiles tonight will receive a Colin Fraser Bobblehands figurine courtesy of Gatorade. The figurine commemorates Fraser on becoming the first former IceHogs skater to win multiple Stanley Cup Championships.
One lucky fan in attendance tonight will also have a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks game versus the Kings on Monday, March 25 and will meet Fraser following the game.
For tickets to tonight's contest or any remaining IceHogs game, call (815) 968-5222, visit icehogs.com or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.
Fans that are unable to make it to tonight's game can watch at home on 23.2 Antenna TV, Comcast Cable channel 436, Charter channel 970, Mediacom 101 or online with AHL Live. A free radio web stream can also be found on AHLLive.com
The IceHogs need to continue to pick up wins to climb back atop the Midwest Division. Rockford currently sits in a tie with Peoria for third place in the division with 46 points. Grand Rapids leads the division with 58 points followed by Chicago's 51.
Forward Jimmy Hayes has been on a hot streak for the IceHogs as he tallied his third goal in as many games during last night's 4-2 win over Peoria. The Dorchester, Mass. native has racked up seven goals and two assists in his last eight outings.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Feb. 16 vs. Abbotsford Heat. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans (21 and older) into the building will pick up an IceHogs floppy hat courtesy of Bud Light.
