Houston Signs Ginand and Aubin

Houston, TX - Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill announced on Saturday the team has signed forwards Ryan Ginand and Mathieu Aubin to professional tryout agreements (PTO).

Ginand was scoreless in three games over two separate stints with the team earlier this season. He rejoins the Aeros from Houston's ECHL affiliate, the Orlando Solar Bears. There he ranked among the top ten scorers, potting six goals and adding 13 assists for 19 points in 24 games played.

Aubin has played the entire 2012-13 season with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In 47 games as the captain of the team, the 26-year old scored 11 times and set up 25 others for 36 points. Over his seven-year career, he has spent time with the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, Lake Erie Monsters, Bridgeport Sounds Tigers and the Milwaukee Admirals. In all, the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder has 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points in 81 AHL games.

Houston continues on an eight-game road trip on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Rockford at 7 p.m. CT. The Aeros return home on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7:05 p.m. as Houston hosts Oklahoma City at Toyota Center. The team will celebrate Boy Scout Night by handing out 2012-13 team posters to the first 2,000 fans.
