WHITE PLAINS - The Westchester Knicks (7-2), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, suffered their second loss of the season by a final score of 116-94 to the Oklahoma City Blue (1-8), the Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate.

Forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo came out firing, scoring Westchester's first five points to give them a quick lead. This lasted briefly, as Oklahoma City used a 7-0 run to jump ahead. Westchester committed eight fouls during the quarter; however, Oklahoma City could not take full advantage hitting only 45 percent of its shots from the charity stripe. Still, Westchester trailed 24-22 after the first 12 minutes.

Westchester quickly tied up the game on its first possession of the second quarter; however, on the ensuing possession, Oklahoma City regained the lead on a three-pointer and never looked back. The Knicks were able to cut the lead to two after a layup by Antetokounmpo with just over two minutes remaining but after trading buckets in the final two minutes, Westchester went into the half still behind 50-45.

After a three-pointer on the opening possession of the half from Knicks guard Jimmer Fredette, Oklahoma City went on a 17-6 run over the next four minutes to extend the lead to 15. A pair of Jimmer Fredette free throws brought Westchester to within nine with four minutes to play, but that's as close as they would get in the quarter as Oklahoma City took an 84-72 lead into the final quarter.

Oklahoma City came out red hot in the final period, hitting its first three shots to extend the lead to 15. Conversely, Westchester missed its first five attempts of the quarter. The Knicks could not get into any grooves as they were outscored 32-20 in the final period on the way to a 116-92 defeat.

Once again, Jimmer Fredette led the Knicks in scoring with 25 points; Thanasis Antetokounmpo finishing with 17 points and six rebounds. Forward Ben Strong had a nice game off the bench, scoring eight points on 4-of-5 shooting and grabbing six rebounds. The 116 points are the most allowed by Westchester this season.

It was a team effort by Oklahoma City as they had seven players score in double figures. Guard J.P. Tokoto led the team with 24 points, while NBA assignee Mitch McGary posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

The Westchester Knicks will look to rebound when they return home on Thursday, Dec. 10 to take on the Grand Rapids Drive at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on MSG and YouTube.
