Today's Game

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the third game of a four-game series from PNC Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd won the first two games of the series, outscoring the RailRiders 14-5. This eight-game roadtrip for the Bisons also includes a four-game stop in Pawtucket, June 13-16.

vs. RailRiders

The Bisons are 3-1 against the RailRiders this season. The clubs split a doubleheader on April 14 in Buffalo -the only day of a four-game series that wasn't rained out. The teams will play twinbills back in Buffalo on July 13 and August 8.

Today's Starter

RHP CHAD JENKINS will make his second start with the Bisons today. Jenkins made his Herd debut on Wednesday and allowed five runs on six hits in five innings of work in a loss to Lehigh Valley. With Toronto, Jenkins was 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in three starts.

Road and Division Warriors

The Bisons are 20-12 on the road this season, tied with Pawtucket for the best road records in the International League. Included in that record for Buffalo is a 12-3 record in road divisional games. The Herd has four-game sweeps in Syracuse and Lehigh Valley this season.

Return of the Mack

INF MIKE McCOY is batting .414 (12-29) since May 28. Against the RailRiders this season, McCoy has seven hits in nine at-bats, including four doubles. He enters tonight's game on a five-game hit streak over which he has averaged .563 (9-16).

Mauro Hits it Far-O

INF MAURO GOMEZ clubbed his International League-leading 16th home run of the season yesterday. He is now tied with teammate INF LUIS JIMENEZ for 3rd in the IL with a .590 slugging pct. Nine of his 16 homers have come in the 14 games since May 26.

Bisons Bits

INF JIM NEGRYCH leads the IL with his .358 batting average while INF LUIS JIMENEZ is 3rd with his .341 average...Jimenez added his league-leading 54th RBI last night and is now on pace to drive in 125 RBI this season...Nine of the Bisons last 11 team home runs have been hit by either INF MAURO GOMEZ (6) or Jimenez (3)...RHP DAVE BUSH is now tied for the IL league lead with 7 wins...After yesterday's game, the Blue Jays optioned RHP THAD WEBER to Buffalo.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (27-35) lost the series finale, 6-4, yesterday to the Rangers. INF ADAM LIND homered and drove home three runs. The Blue Jays start an eight-game road trip tonight in Chicago against the White Sox (8:10 p.m.).
