Rochester Red Wings News Release
TONIGHT¡¯S GAME: The Red Wings and Mud Hens play game three of their four-game set on Monday night (7:05 p.m.) after the Wings bounced back in game two to even the series with a 3-1 win behind Kyle Gibson¡¯s seven strong innings... The Wings have won 5 of their last 6 home games and 10 of 14 overall and are just 7.5 GB of Pawtucket in the IL North and 7.0 GB of Norfolk in the Wild Card... Toledo, despite owning the worst record in the IL at 24-41, has won 8 out of 12 overall after having their 4-game win streak snapped on Sunday. The Mud Hens are just 8-26 on the road... No other IL team has less than 13 road wins.
BIG LEAGUERS IN TOWN: Each team will be sporting a Major League rehabber in their lineup tonight. The Wings have former Red Wing Trevor Plouffe with them as he begins his rehab assignment after being sidelined by a concussion and strained calf since May 22. Plouffe was hitting .254 with four home runs and 17 RBI in 37 games with the Twins before suffering a concussion trying to break up a double play on May 21. He was placed on the 7-day disabled list and reinstated on May 29. A day later, the 26-year-old went on the 15-day disabled list after suffering a left calf strain prior to the Twins May 30 game against the Brewers. Plouffe appeared in two rehab games with the Wings last year (bruised thumb)... Tigers outfielder Austin Jackson joins the Mud Hens on Monday as he begins his rehab from a left hamstring strain that has had him on the DL since May 12.
¡úPlouffe hit .261 with 46 home runs and 181 RBI in 339 games over parts of five seasons in Rochester from 2008-12.

Also, Red Wings southpaw Andrew Albers was named the Twins Minor League Player of the Week after going 2-0 with a 2.40 ERA in 15 innings ¨C including his first career complete-game shutout in Friday¡¯s series finale in Gwinnett.
BACK TO THE BIGS...AND BACK AGAIN: Chris Colabello¡¯s roller-coaster ride of a season continued this week as the Wings slugger has been optioned back to Rochester a day after he was summoned to the Major Leagues for a third time in the last 19 days. Colabello was the Twins 26th man for their doubleheader with Washington on Sunday and appeared as a pinch-hitter in game one (strikeout). Over his first two stints with the Twins this season Colabello went 2-for-15 in six games... The Triple-A rookie, who started the first 46 games of the season for the Wings and was leading the IL in several offensive categories prior to his first call-up on May 22, has had just 29 at-bats between Rochester and Minnesota over the last 19 days.
MORE ABOUT LAST NIGHT...:
¡úRHP Kyle Gibson won his team-leading 6th game of the season and 4th in a row... His 6 wins are T-4th in the IL.

He is currently riding a season-high 8-game hitting streak over which he¡¯s batting .424 (14-for-33)... A hit tonight would tie his career-long hit streak at 9 games (7/24-8/1/06 with GCL Twins)...
