Ben Guez Homers Twice in 12-4 Win in Rochester

The Mud Hens defeated the Red Wings 12-4 in Rochester Monday night behind a stellar offensive performance.
The Hens jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning after a Bryan Holaday RBI sac fly and an Argenis Diaz RBI single off Cole De Vries. The lead was pushed to 6-0 in the third when Mike Cervenak and Ben Guez homered back-to-back for the first time this season.
Toledo piled on six more runs in the fourth inning to take a 12-0 lead. Ben Guez homered again in the onslaught, while Nick Castellanos, Danny Dorn and Cervenak also picked up RBIs.
The Red Wings rallied for four runs, but Matt Hoffman struck out the side in the eighth to pick up his fourth victory of the season.
The Mud Hens will look to pick up their second straight victory tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. in Rochester.
