
Captains Pound Lugnuts 13-4

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) -The Captains scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning and seven runs in the fourth inning en route to the 13-4 victory over Lansing. The Captains batted around twice and put up eleven hits. Of the 13 runs, only three were earned. Lanisng committed four errors on the day.
The big hit of the Day was a Grand Slam homerun by Claudio Bautista. It was Bautista's first homerun of the season. The last grand slam Lake County has hit was by Tyler Cannon back on April 23, 2011. Lake County has just hit three grand slams since entering the Mid West League.
Lansing got all of their runs on homeruns. Kevin Patterson hit two big flys including a solo homer in the seventh and a two run homer in the eighth inning. Gustavo Pierre also added a solo homer in the seventh. The final was 13-4 Captains.
The Captains had two Cleveland Indians on a Rehab Assignment. Blake Wood and Vinnie Pestano each pitched one scoreless inning and notched a strikeout. Jake Sisco (1-2) picked up the win after pitching six innings. Sisco allowed six hits, and four earned runs. Jake walked two and struck out five. Sisco also allowed all three homers. Felix Sterling pitched a scoreless ninth inning.
Lansing sent Alonzo Gonzalez (2-3) to the mound. Gonzalez got the loss. He pitched three and one third inning and allowed seven hits 12 runs and two earned runs. He walked five and struck out one. The Lugnuts bullpen allowed just one earned run in four and two thirds innnings.
Thursday night is Thirsty Thursday, presented by ESPN 850 WKNR, featuring 25-cent beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price draft beer and fountain soda until 9 PM. A wing and pizza buffet will also be available outside the Corona Castaways Bar featuring Happy Moose Bar and Grill wing sauces and pizza from Cleveland Pizza Company.
Thursday is also Date Night, which provides couples with the opportunity to purchase two tickets to The Officer's Club Suite and enjoy a buffet dinner, a $56 value, for only $32.
Lake County will start RHP Dylan Baker (1-2, 3.09) and Lansing will counter with RHP Taylor Cole (1-2, 4.34). The rubber game of the series will begin at 6:30 PM
