Hitmen Fall in Game Seven

Edmonton, AB - The Calgary Hitmen fell 2-0 to the Edmonton Oil Kings Tuesday evening at Rexall Place. The Oil Kings now advance to the WHL Championship series against the Portland Winterhawks.

Michael St. Croix netted a pair of goals for Edmonton as Calgary netminder Chris Driedger stopped 36 of 38 shots he faced in the Game 7 setback.

The Hitmen opened the 2013 WHL Playoffs against the Swift Current Broncos, defeating the East Division club four games to one. Calgary then eliminated the Red Deer Rebels in five games to face Edmonton in the Husky WHL Eastern Conference Championship series.

The Hitmen compiled a regular season record of 46-21-1-4 during the 2012-13 campaign to finish third in the Eastern Conference and fifth overall.
