Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release
Lethbridge, AB - With the WHL Bantam Draft tomorrow, Lethbridge Hurricanes GM Brad Robson and his scouting staff are hard at work preparing for the big day just like all other WHL teams.
Robson has spent the days leading up to Thursday meeting with the other GM's discussing possible draft options. While he believes the top four picks will not be moved, he does expect Wednesday to be busy before and after the WHL Awards Luncheon. "There could be movements and there could be trades, there is plenty of discussion with teams about moving up or down according to their needs."
With all five camps including the U.S showcase complete, Robson and his staff are prepared and they feel confident they will get a good player to help improve the team. "Looking at our depth and what our wants and needs are we do need a defenseman. It's no hidden secret that we have to get off to a really good start this coming season and we have to jump out of the gate and be one of the top teams." Robson added "we are looking at our depth charts to fill holes from last year; there will be changes and some moves whether that happens during the Bantam draft or the summer before training camp."
