Rollheiser Released; Howse Reassigned to Abbotsford

Abbotsford, BC - Abbotsford Heat General Manager Jay Feaster announced two transactions today. Goaltender Grant Rollheiser has been released from his Professional Try-Out (PTO), while Forward Ryan Howse has been reassigned from the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) to the Abbotsford Heat.

Rollheiser was signed on Sunday to back up Barry Brust due to Danny Taylor's recall by the Calgary Flames and Leland Irving's recovery from elective minor surgery. The Chilliwack, BC native attended Heat Training Camp this past Fall and has split time between Utah (ECHL) and Wichita (CHL) in his first professional season.

Howse has posted one assist and six penalty minutes over 16 games with the Heat this season. The Prince George, BC product has played 20 games this season with the Grizzlies this season recording two goals, seven assists and nine points while compiling 12 penalty minutes.
