Labatt Blue Bubble Hockey Tournament Presented by the AHL event info Worcester Sharks are one of 10 teams participating
WORCESTER, MA - Worcester Sharks president Michael A. Mudd in conjunction with the American Hockey League and Labatt Blue have announced that the 2013 Labatt Blue Bubble Hockey Tournament of Champions presented by the AHL is now under way as the WORCESTER SHARKS and 9 other teams are participating in the tournament.
For a second consecutive season the Worcester Sharks have partnered with the AHL and Labatt Blue to host the 2013 Labatt Blue AHL Bubble Hockey Tournament of Champions. Over the next 2 months, bubble hockey games will take place at five central Massachusetts locations in which eight qualifiers (winners) will be chosen. These eight qualifiers will then compete in the team finals at the DCU Center when the Sharks host the St. John's IceCaps on Saturday, March 30 at 7pm. The winner from the Worcester finals will go to an AHL city to be determined to compete in the "Tournament of Champions" in early April. Each qualifier will receive two (2) tickets to the Sharks game on March 30th and Labatt Blue gear.
The grand prize winner of the 2013 Labatt Blue Tournament of Champions presented by the AHL will receive a Superchexx Bubble Hockey game and a mini replica Calder Cup trophy from the AHL. For a full tournament schedule please visit theahl.com.
