Omaha Beef Announce Coaching Staff

Ralston, NE - The Omaha Beef today announced the rest of the football coaching staff, which will join head coach Andy Yost for the 2013 campaign. Yost was previously announced as head coach, and brings over 17 years of coaching experience from the professional to the high school level. Yost served as co-head coach of the Beef at the end of the 2012 season and will also serve as offensive coordinator. Yost is also currently an assistant coach at Omaha Creighton Prep High School

James Kerwin will join Yost as co-head coach and defensive coordinator. Kerwin and Yost ended the 2012 season in the same capacity and led the Beef to playoff qualification. Kerwin bring over 19 years of coaching experience and has spent several seasons with the Beef and most recently was the Head Strength coach for the UFL Omaha Nighthawks.

Ted Hennings rejoins the Beef as a defensive assistant. Hennings coached with the Beef in 2012 and coached with Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln High school from 2006-2011. Hennings recently joined the coaching staff at Omaha Creighton Prep High School.

Steve Heimann rejoins the Omaha Beef as an offensive assistant. Heimann was tight ends coach at Nebraska Wesleyan from 2007-2010 and most recently served as running backs coach for the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL.

Yost also announced that Andrew Mather and Matt Storm will be joining the staffs as assistants. Yost said that he was excited to get the 2013 season underway. "We have a very experienced football staff that has worked together in the past, and I know what they are capable of," Yost said. "Put that together with the players that we expect to sign, and we are looking forward to an exciting 2013 for Omaha Beef fans."
