Orlando Solar Bears News Release

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they will be collecting nonperishable food prior to the start of their 3:00 p.m. game against the Kalamazoo Wings (Vancouver Canucks) on Sunday, November 18.

The Solar Bears encourage all fans attending this game to bring nonperishable food items to the Amway Center. Once the doors open at 2:00 p.m., fans can donate the food in the Disney Atrium located at the Church Street entrance. Everyone who donates will be entered to win a Solar Bears jersey autographed by RW Kevin Baker. The winner will be announced during the second period of Sunday's game. All food items will be donated the Community Food & Outreach Center.

The management and players of the Orlando Solar Bears, and other Central Florida volunteers, will help lead the Community Food & Outreach Center's "Give Thanks, Give Food" Thanksgiving outreach event at their Downtown Orlando Campus on Monday, November 19th and distribute the collected items from 12:00pm to 2:30pm.

"We are honored to be aligned with such a wonderful community partner. Orlando families in need can count on Orlando Solar Bears fans," said Community Food & Outreach Center Board Member and Solar Bears Managing Partner Jason Siegel.
