
Bulls Get Tam and Viendensky from Worcester, Todd from Orlando

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that forward Marek Viedensky (MAHR-ick, VEE-uh-DEHN-skee) was assigned to the Bulls from their AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks, by San Jose, and defenseman Mikael Tam (MIGH-kuhl) was loaned to the Bulls by Worcester. In addition, the Bulls acquired forward Jesse Todd from the Reading Royals in exchange for Evan Barlow. Chris Lawrence was also traded to the Orlando Solar Bears for future considerations.
Tam, 21, recorded 140 points (53 goals, 87 assists) over five seasons in 318 games with the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL. The 5-foot, 10-inch, 205-pound native of Quebec City, Quebec, led all Remparts defensemen last season with 15 goals and led the club with 106 penalty minutes. Tam has played in two games for Worcester and for the Bulls this season.
Viedensky, 22, is in his second season of professional hockey. The 6-foot, 4-inch, 210-pound native of Slovakia spent all of last season with Worcester, recording 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists) in 52 games. While in juniors, he led the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL in goals (36), points (88) and plus/minus (+60) in 2010-11. A seventh-round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2009, Viedensky has also represented Slovakia at the World Junior Championships on two occasions. He finished second on the team in scoring with six points at the 2010 World Junior Championships. Viedensky has played in two games with Worcester this season.
Todd, 25, has recorded two points in seven games with Reading in his first full season of professional hockey. He played in five games with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL last season, recording three assists. In 2011-12, he completed his final year with Merrimack College, ranking first on the team in goals (12) and second in points (27). The 6-foot, 2-inch, 190-pound native of Calgary, Alberta totaled 98 points (39 goals, 59 assists) in 138 games with Merrimack throughout his four seasons.
Barlow had five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in nine games with the Bulls this season, while Lawrence produced five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in six games.
The Bulls return home for three weekend contests against the Idaho Steelheads (Friday) and the Utah Grizzlies (Saturday and Sunday). On Saturday, the first 1,000 fans 13 and over receive a Bulls Schedule T-Shirt. The puck drops at 7:15 pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:15 pm on Sunday.
