Omaha Storm Chasers Home for Eight Games from August 1 - 8

July 30, 2012 - Pacific Coast League (PCL) Omaha Storm Chasers

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers come home to Werner Park and will take on the Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, the Triple-A team of the Colorado Rockies in two, four-game series.

Wednesday, August 1 (7:05 pm): The first place Omaha Storm Chasers return to Werner Park to face the Reno Aces. It's Peanut Free Night presented by the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology PC. The Storm Chasers 7:05 game against the Aces will be free of anything peanut related, including sunflower seeds, peanuts and tree nuts. Peanut Free Night provides an opportunity to those with peanut and food allergies to attend a ballgame. If you are looking for food to eat that night, check out our All-You-Can-Eat seats. For $18 an adult and $10 a child, you can enjoy the best that Ovations has to offer as many times as you would like. Wednesday's festivities are presented by Allergy, Asthma & Immunology PC and ValPak.

Thursday, August 2 (7:05 pm): Omaha Public Power District presents Green Night and Thirsty Thursday ™. Fans will be able to view different ways to conserve power all while saving money & the environment. Fans 21 or older can enjoy $1.00 Bud Light draws and $1.00 Busch Light cans prior to the sixth inning in addition to the $1 Pepsi products that are available to everyone in the ballpark, all night. Be sure to check your local listings as The Storm Chasers will be televised regionally on Time Warner Cable and locally on Cox Communications Channel 2. Thursday's promotions are sponsored by the Omaha Public Power District, Action 3, 96.1 The Brew and The Reader.

Friday, August 3 (7:05 pm): It is Friday night at Werner Park which means fans will be treated to post-game fireworks presented by American Family Insurance. If you have not done so, visit www.omahastormchasers.com to sign up to be the American Family Insurance Family of the Game and you might be called as the winner of free tickets to the game, a first pitch, jersey, and the starter of the postgame fireworks. It's also "Pink Out the Park" sponsored by the Nebraska Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the ballgame. Breast cancer survivors will be able to partake in a special pre-game parade/balloon release on the field and a limited number of pink shirts will be available for free, pre-game. Friday's activities are presented by our partners at American Family Insurance, Nebraska Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Power 106.9 and The Reader.

Saturday, August 4 (7:05 pm): Nebraska Organ Recovery presents a special "Organ" Jersey Auction and fireworks. Throughout the game, fans will have an opportunity to bid on "Organ" jerseys that will be worn during Saturday's game, signed by the players who wore them and auctioned off after the game with the all the proceeds going to Nebraska Organ Recovery. Saturday's game is also Public Service Appreciation Night and will feature the vehicles of local Public Service Agencies on display in front of Werner Park for your viewing pleasure. Saturday's game is presented by our friends at Nebraska Organ Recovery, WOWT and 1110AM KFAB.

Sunday, August 5 (5:05 pm): The Storm Chasers welcome Colorado Springs for their first appearance at Werner Park with first pitch slated for 5:05 p.m. Sunday's game against Colorado Springs is the fourth annual "Bark in the Park" presented by All Paws and Dogtopia. Human tickets are $6.00 for the McDonald's Berm and just $1.00 for dogs, with all dog ticket proceeds benefitting the Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue. Fans may also send pictures or short videos of their dog to woof@omahastormchasers.com to see their canine friend on the Werner Park video board. Sunday is also U.S. Bank Family FUN Day and Huerter Orthodontics Lil' Chasers Club Day and like always, kids will be able to enjoy clowns, face painters, balloon artists and free pre-game player autographs presented by Fat Brain Toys. Huerter Orthodontics Lil Chasers Club Members get in for free and following the Sky Sox versus Storm Chasers game all kids get to run the bases with Stormy presented by Hardees. It is also Sam's Club canned food day and everyone who brings a canned good item gets a free McDonald's grass berm ticket. All items collected will benefit The Open Door Mission. U.S. Bank, All Paws, Dogtopia, Sam's Club, Fat Brain Toys, Hardees, KGBI and Omaha Magazine present Sunday's festivities.

Monday, Monday 6 (7:05 pm): Head out to Werner Park for your very own Alex Gordon Gold Glove Garden Gnome giveaway presented by Principal Financial Dreams Tour. The first 1,500 fans to enter the ballpark will get this one-of-a-kind collector's item. Plus, it's $1 Hebrew National Hot Dog night presented by Rotella's. It is also day two of two Library Days where kids can bring their Library Voucher to the ticket office in exchange for a free McDonald's grass berm ticket. The Alex Gordon Gold Glove Garden Gnome giveaway, $1.00 hot dogs and Library Day are brought to you by Principal Financial Group, Rotella's and 89.7 The River.

Tuesday, August 7 (7:05 pm): QuikTrip & Pepsi present T-Shirt Tuesdays as the first 1,000 fans to enter Werner Park will receive a free Omaha Storm Chasers "Bobblehead" Tee thanks to our sponsors are QuikTrip, Pepsi and Z-92.

Wednesday, August 8 (12:05 pm): Head out to Werner Park for a great day game and half-price burgers presented by Omaha Steaks. Wednesday's game will also showcase bingo for seniors. Fans interested in playing Bingo should call Blake prior to Tuesday, August 7 at (402) 738-2182. Wednesday's activities are sponsored by Omaha Steaks.
