TACOMA, Wash. -- Pitching prospect Danny Hultzen picked up his first Triple-A victory as the Tacoma Rainiers rolled to an 8-2 win over the Fresno Grizzlies in front of a sell-out crowd of 7,273 at Cheney Stadium on Tuesday.

Hultzen limited to the Grizzlies to two runs - one earned - on six hits over 5.0 innings. The left-hander struck out six and walked three in his third start since a promotion to the Rainiers on June 20.

Home runs hit by Carlos Peguero and Mike Wilson keyed the Rainiers on offense. Peguero homered for the fourth consecutive game - his fifth over that stretch - and Mike Wilson turned in his second multi-home run game of the season.

The outfielders hit back-to-back solo home runs to lead off the bottom of the second inning, erasing an early Fresno lead and putting Tacoma on top 2-1. With the Rainiers holding a 3-2 edge, Wilson added some insurance with another solo shot in the bottom of the fourth.

As a team, Tacoma combined to collect nine hits against the Grizzlies. Wilson, Nick Franklin and Darren Ford led the lineup with two hits each. Ford has now hit safely in 10 consecutive games and 14 of his first 15 since making his season debut on June 15.

The Rainiers relief staff of Steven Hensley (3.0) and Jarrett Grube (1.0) combined to toss 4.0 scoreless innings from the sixth through the ninth innings.

The Rainiers (35-49) pack up and head to Salt Lake to begin a five-game series with the Bees (44-43) beginning tomorrow, July 4. Right-hander Brian Sweeney (3-2, 4.53) is slated to get the start for Tacoma in the contest against left-hander Brad Mills (3-3, 4.13) for Salt Lake. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
