MEMPHIS, TN - Nashville beat Memphis 6-4 in their series opener at AutoZone Park to give the 'Birds their fourth consecutive loss in front of 10,063 fans.

The Redbirds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third with an RBI-double by starting pitcher Brandon Dickson. The Sounds rallied for four runs in the fifth to take the lead and never looked back. Memphis attempted to rally, as Dickson sent home the 'Birds second run on the night and Steven Hill hit a two-run single in the eighth, but fell short.

Dickson took the loss for the Redbirds allowing six runs, four earned, on eight hits across 5.2 innings while walking one and striking out three. Tyler Thornburg picked up a win in his Triple-A debut giving up two runs on five hits in his five innings pitched while fanning six batters. Jim Henderson nailed down his ninth save with a scoreless 1.1 innings of relief.

Memphis and Nashville play tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Every Thursday fans can receive half off game day ticket prices with a receipt from Subway, limit four.
