MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis blanked Nashville 2-0 Tuesday night at AutoZone Park behind starter Nick Additon and two relievers to end their four-game slide.

Additon turned in seven scoreless innings for the Redbirds to earn his third win on the year. The left-hander fanned a career-high 11 batters while allowing only four hits in the victory. The 'Birds bullpen allowed two hits over the last two innings with Adam Reifer and Jess Todd combining to finish off Memphis' fourth shutout win of the year. Todd struck out two over one inning of relief to earn his first save of the season. Nashville starter Wily Peralta took the loss, allowing two runs on four hits over 5.1 innings while walking six and striking out six.

The 'Birds and the Sounds wrap up their series tomorrow morning with game time slated for 11:05 a.m. Memphis sends right-hander Brandon Dickson to the mound to face fellow righty Claudio Vargas.
