Captains Home Stand Features Cleveland Sports History Night, More

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin a six-game home stand on Wednesday as the West Michigan Whitecaps (Tigers) and the Fort Wayne Tincaps (Padres) visit Classic Park for an action-packed week.

Feed Your Face Night is on Wednesday featuring all-you-can-eat food package for only $10 with unlimited hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn and chips throughout the game. Game time is 7 PM.

Thursday is a special 11 AM game featuring Channel 19 Action News' "Weather Day". There will be special weather related activities prior to and during the game under the direction of Channel 19's Chief Meteorologist Jeff Tanchak.

Thursday is also Senior Day, presented by Wickliffe Country Place with several Senior Groups enjoying the day at the ballpark and free coffee prior to the game.

All fans in attendance for the Friday, Saturday and Sundays games will receive entry forms to submit into a drawing for a free two-year lease on a Chevy Cruze that will take place on Sunday courtesy of Classic Chevrolet and the Chevy Network. Children under 18 will receive an entry form that their parents or guardians may submit for a chance to win. Friday also kicks off the Captains Tenth Anniversary HDTV HR Giveaway courtesy of B&B Appliance. For every home run hit at Classic Park by a Captains player for the remainder of the regular season, individuals who subscribe to the Captains E-Newsletter will be selected randomly to win a 32" HDTV. Friday's game is a Fireworks Friday night presented by State Farm Insurance Agent Tom Ferguson and 92.3 FM, The Fan. Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks extravaganza and it is the first Faith Night presented by 95.5 FM the FISH. After the fireworks, there will be a concert featuring the Joey Skoch Band. There will also be a Testimony of Faith provided by a Captains player. Game time is 7 PM.

Saturday is a Fireworks Saturday Night presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks extravaganza. Saturday is also Ladies Night presented by Malibu Rum, featuring Malibu Rum drink specials for the ladies. Game time is 7 PM.

Saturday is also the Captains' annual "Salute to Cleveland Sports History Night". The inaugural event was named ESPN the Magazine's "Minor League Promotion of the Year" in 2009. The night will include Cleveland Sports history-themed on-field promotions and appearances and autograph sessions by Cleveland sports legends who are scheduled to appear, including current Browns Wide Receiver Greg Little and rookie LB James-Michael Johnson, former Browns Coach Sam Rutigliano and former Browns kicker Don Cockroft; former Cavalier Play-by-Play Legend Joe Tait and former player Elmore Smith; former Lumberjacks Hockey player Jock Callander; and former Indians IF Vern Fuller.

In addition, displays from League Park and the Baseball Heritage Museum will be placed on the concourse and the Captains will be wearing 1970's themed Cleveland Indians jerseys that night and fans can bid on the jerseys as part of a post-game jersey auction with proceeds benefiting Captains Charities. The Browns Backers will kick-off the festivities with a tail gate party in the Classic Park parking lot beginning at 2PM.

Sunday is a Family Fun Day and will feature a pre-game player autograph session, expanded in-stadium entertainment and activities, an enhanced Kids' Zone area with new inflatables including a new speed pitch and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. It is also Nautical Day featuring several water craft on display and boating and water safety displays. Game time is 1 PM.

The home stand concludes on Monday at 7 PM with a Buck Night, presented by PNC, featuring $1 Five Star Brand Hot Dogs, chips, French fries, popcorn, soda and beer. Also, fans receive a $1 discount on their tickets or $2 off their tickets if they use a PNC Bank debit or credit card.

The first Hot Air Balloon Prize Drop will take place after the game on Monday night. Randomly selected fans will have the opportunity to go on the field following the game to win great prizes dropped from a Hot Air Balloon that is tethered over center field.
