
Blazers Back at Home, Clinch Playoff Berth

In a 3-1 win over the Thunderbirds in Seattle on Saturday, the Blazers clinched a berth in the 2012 WHL Playoffs with 19 games remaining. The Blazers continue to sit 1st in the BC Division, Western Conference, and WHL standings and were the 1st team in the CHL to clinch a playoff spot.
Wednesday night at ISC the Blazers host the Tri-City Americans who are hot on their heels sitting 2nd place in the standings to the Blazers. Tri-City and Kamloops will play the final game of their 4 game season series on Wednesday. Kamloops is 2-0-1 vs the Americans so far with the first matchup at ISC on January 11th being regarded by many as the most exciting game of the season at ISC. The Blazers beat the Americans 3-2 in that game.
The Blazers have won 12 of their last 13 home games and have gone 12-2-0-1 overall in 2012.
On Friday, February 10th the Blazers host the division rival Kelowna Rockets in the second home game of the week at ISC.

Blazers Support Kamloops Brain Injury Association and Brain Trust Canada with Helmet Auction Wednesday
During the Wednesday, February 8th matchup between the Kamloops Blazers and Tri-City Americans, the Blazers will be raising money for the Kamloops Brain Injury Association and Brain Trust Canada through two in-game events. During the 2nd intermission of the game will be the Subway Chuck-a-Puck to benefit the Kamloops Brain Injury Association. Pucks will be available for purchase on the concourse until the end of the 2nd period for $2 each or $5 for 3.
On top of that, the Blazers will also be auctioning off 22 Nutcase Super Solid Street Sport Helmets with all proceeds going to Brain Trust Canada. There are two helmet sizes available and the buyer will have the option to have their helmet signed by their favourite Blazers player(s) or the entire team! Look for the helmets and auction at the east end of the ISC concourse on Wednesday night; bidding will be open from 6pm until the conclusion of the game.
