
P-Bruins Fall to Whale 3-0

Hartford, CT - The Providence Bruins fell to the Connecticut Whale 3-0 Saturday evening at the XL Center. The P-Bruins are back at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday for Stadium Cup Day at 4:05 p.m. against the Whale.
After a scoreless first two periods, the Whale got on the board at the 5:08 mark of the third period. Chris McKelvie tallied his second goal of the season, while Wade Redden recorded the lone assist. Connecticut made it 2-0 at the 10:29 mark. Stu Bickel netted his first goal of the season, while Tim Erixon and Andre Deveaux picked up the assists. The Whale finished off the scoring with an empty net goal at the 18:11 mark. Francois Bouchard scored his second goal of the season, while Aaron Voros and Cameron Talbot had the assists. The Whale went onto the 3-0 victory.
Michael Hutchinson stopped 31 of 33 shots for the P-Bruins, while Talbot made 27 saves for the Whale. The P-Bruins were 0-for-1 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins return to The Dunk Sunday for Stadium Cup Day presented by Cool Air Creations and Ullucci Sports Medicine at 4:05 p.m. against the Whale.
