Express Leaves 'Birds at the Station

MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis fell 8-5 to Round Rock in the series finale Sunday night at AutoZone Park.

The Express jumped on starter Brandon Dickson for four runs, three earned, in the first three innings before the Redbirds were able to drive in a run on the night. The 'Birds rallied for two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings but were unable to catch the Express. Tyler Greene led Memphis going 2-for-5 with two RBI while Matt Kata led for Round Rock picking up a pair of hits while driving in three runs.

Express starter Zach Jackson earned his seventh win allowing five runs, four earned on six hits over 5.2 innings of work as Pedro Strop nailed down his eighth save shutting down the Redbirds in the ninth. Dickson walked two while fanning five in his eighth loss of the season.
