Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The PawSox snapped a three game losing streak on Friday night, edging Indianapolis 7-6, in an offensive free-for-all. After two innings, the PawSox lead 3-2, with Josh Reddick leading the way. Reddick hit a solo homer in the first and a 2 run double an inning later. Daniel Nava took over after that, clubbing a pair of homers for Pawtucket. He hit a three run shot from the left side of the plate in the fourth and a solo blast in the seventh from the right. Nava is the first PawSox hitter with home runs from either side of the plate in one game since Jed Lowrie did it in 2008.
Adam Mills didn't have his best stuff, but hung in there and gave the PawSox 5.2 innings of great effort. Dustin Richardson (1-0), Joe Nelson and Fernando Cabrera nailed down the victory. Cabrera earned his fourth save in five tries.
The PawSox (9-13) managed to salvage the final game against Indy as they head out for an 8 game, 9 day road trip to the south. The swing begins in Gwinnett Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. Kris Johnson (1-1, 3.69) faces Ryne Reynoso (0-3, 5.03).
