Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The PawSox and Indianapolis endured a rain delay of an hour and three minutes on Tuesday night before Indy dropped Pawtucket 7-2. Kason Gabbard made a spot start in place of Fabio Castro, who was promoted to Boston. Gabbard was summoned from extended Spring Training. Gabby worked 4 and a third innings, allowing just 2 earned runs, yet absorbing the loss.
Number nine hitter, Argenis Diaz accounted for 4 rbi, going 2-2. Indianapolis also got three hits and an rbi from Brian Friday. Indy capitalized on ten walks issued by Pawtucket pitching, as well as two hit batters. Former PawSox All Star Brandon Moss, now with the Indians, went 1-4, scoring twice.
For the PawSox, Kevin Frandsen had 3 hits and Daniel Nava extended his hitting streak to 7 games. The series continues on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. Kevin Hart (1-0, 3.52) faces Michael Bowden (0-0, 4.35).
