Justin Bowers Named Oakley CHL Player Of The Week

ALLEN, Texas - The CHL announced today that forward Justin Bowers was named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 23 to Nov. 29.
Bowers helped the Americans go 3-1-0 last week with four goals and four assists. The Halifax, Nova Scotia, native had multiple point games in each of the three victories.
Bowers also was +5 last week and notched two game-winning goals, including one over the first place Odessa Jackalopes Nov. 27 in a 5-4 victory. The 24-year-old had multiple point games in each of the Americans' wins.
He leads Allen in total points for the season with 25 (7 goals, 18 assists) and plus/minus (+10).
Bowers is the second American to get recognized by the CHL in November. Netminder Chris Whitley was named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week beginning Nov. 16.
