Nunez returns to Whitecaps, Perez to GCL

West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
The Detroit Tigers, in conjunction with the West Michigan Whitecaps, announced today that shortstop Gustavo Nunez has been reassigned to West Michigan from the GCL Tigers and shortstop Hernan Perez has been reassigned to GCL.
Before being sent to GCL, Nunez was batting .328 with a home run, 24 RBI and 37 stolen bases in 75 games with the Whitecaps. He hit .190 with a home run and four RBI in six games with GCL.
Perez, who signed with the Tigers as a non-drafted free agent in 2007, batted .244 with five RBI in 11 games with the Whitecaps.
