
D.C. United waives Ryan Miller

Washington, D.C. (March 25, 2009) - D.C. United announced today the club has waived defender Ryan Miller. The 24-year old had did not make an appearance in League play for D.C. after being acquired by the club in September of last year.
"We'd like to thank Ryan for his contributions to the team and we wish him the best of luck in the future," said United General Manager Dave Kasper.
United acquired Miller off waivers on 9/15/08 after he was let go by the Columbus Crew. He did not see time in League play, but made three appearances in (two starts) in CONCACAF Champions League play. The defender was originally drafted by Columbus in the third round (31st overall) of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.
