Clarke, Ewing, Reid To Compete In Skills Competition

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, have announced the lineups for tonight's 12th Annual ECHL All-Star Skills Competition to be held in Reading, Pa., at 7 p.m.

Tonight's Skills Competition and tomorrow's All-Star Game will both be broadcast live online free of charge on B2CableTV.com. The video broadcast requires a high-speed internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player.

Nailers Aaron Clarke, Bryan Ewing and Elgin Reid will compete in tonight's Skills Competition for the American Conference. Clarke will compete against Victoria's Dan Gendur in the CCMU+ Fastest Skater competition. Ewing will team with Trenton's Ryan Gunderson against Ontario's John Murray in the Reebok Rapid Fire competition. Ewing was also named one of the shooters in the MeiGray Group Accuracy Shooting competition.

Reid, a defenseman, is slated to compete in the Reebok O-Stick Hardest Shot competition. Clarke, Ewing and Reid are all scheduled to compete in the Guardian Breakaway Relay.

The National Conference has won three of the last four Skills Competitions.

The next Nailers home game is on Saturday, Jan. 31 against the Mississippi Seawolves. Faceoff for the Jan. 31 game has been changed from 7:35 to 8:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling 304-234-GOAL or log on to wheelingnailers.com.
