
Blades All-Stars set for skills competition tonight

ESTERO, FL - The ECHL breaks for the 17th Annual ECHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, January 21 and the 12th Annual All-Star Skills Competition tonight! Everblades' forward Kevin Baker, defenseman Aaron Brocklehurst and goaltender David Leggio will take part in the festivities as members of the American Conference in Reading, PA, home of the Reading Royals.
The festivities begin with the fun-filled skills competition tonight, and here's what the Everblades players will be participating in:
Brocklehurst will contend first for the title of the ECHL's fastest player in the Fastest Skater Competition. The rookie will then participate in the Breakaway Relay against Alaska Aces goaltender Jean-Philippe Lamoureux.
Baker will show his skills in the Accuracy Shooting Competition as he tries to hit four targets with as few shots as necessary! The ECHL's second leading scoring with 52 points will also participate in the Breakaway Relay against goaltender Joe Fallon who is representing the Fresno Falcons.
Leggio's first action will take place in the Rapid Fire Competition when he faces Las Vegas' Jeff May and Stockton's Ryan Huddy. Leggio will finish out the competition by facing Colin Hemingway of Alaska, Ryan Huddy and Cory Urquhart of Stockton, Matt Stephenson of Idaho, Mark Derlago of Bakersfield and Jeff May of Las Vegas in the Breakaway Relay Competition.
The ECHL All-Star Game presented by Guardian Wear will be broadcast live at 7:00 pm ET online free of charge on ECHLALLSTARTV on B2CableTV.com. The video broadcast will require a high-speed internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player.
The game will also be televised live on NHL Center Ice at 7 p.m. ET on Channel 785 on DirecTV, on Channel 626 on Dish Network and on Channel NHL10 on Digital Cable (channel numbers vary by cable system). It is the seventh year in a row that the ECHL All-Star Game has been televised live by the NHL Network, the first national network dedicated entirely to hockey.

The Everblades return to regular season action on Friday, January 23 when they host the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena.
