
Off The Hook: Steelheads At The All-Star Break

BOISE, Idaho ¾ Most of the Steelheads have most of the week off as the ECHL breaks for the 17th Annual ECHL All-Star Game on Wednesday and the 12th Annual All-Star Skills Competition on Tuesday. Steelheads' defenseman Matt Stephenson and forward Mark Bomersback will take part in the festivities hosted by the Reading Royals, the City of Reading and the Sovereign Center.
The Steelheads return to the ice in Utah on Friday, and continue their three-game road trip against the Grizzlies on Saturday and Sunday.
STEELHEADS COMPETE
Bomersback will compete Tuesday in the Fastest Skater competition along with Aaron Brocklehurst of Florida, Josh Aspenlind of Elmira and Aaron Clarke of Wheeling against Dan Gendur of Victoria, and Matt Fornataro of Phoenix. Stephenson is slated to go up against goalie Kris Mayotte of Johnstown in the Reebok Rapid Fire competition. Both Steelheads will also participate in the Breakaway Relay for the National Conference.

The ECHL All-Star Game presented by Guardian Wear will be broadcast live at 7:00 pm ET online free of charge on ECHLALLSTARTV on B2CableTV.com. The video broadcast will require a high-speed internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player.
The game will also be televised live on NHL Center Ice at 7 p.m. ET on Channel 785 on DirecTV, on Channel 626 on Dish Network and on Channel NHL10 on Digital Cable (channel numbers vary by cable system). It is the seventh year in a row that the ECHL All-Star Game has been televised live by the NHL Network, the first national network dedicated entirely to hockey.
The game can be heard locally on the radio on 1350 KTIK The Ticket.
