
Worcester Sharks Announce Opening Night Roster And Captains For 2008-09 Season

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today the Worcester Sharks 2008-09 opening night roster. The roster features 26 players that include 14 forwards, 9 defenseman and 3 goalies.
The team roster is listed below, in numerical order:

The team also announced that Ryan Vesce will be the second captain in team history while Brendan Buckley and Derek Joslin will serve as the assistant captains. The Sharks have six veterans and 12 rookies on their 26 man roster.
The Sharks will open their third season in Lowell on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m. Worcester will then travel to Glens Falls in New York to battle the River Rats on the October 17th at 7:30 p.m., and then return home for the team's home opener against Providence on October 18th at 7:05 p.m. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive an All-Star FINZ bobblehead and magnet schedule courtesy of Charter Communications! All fans will also be treated to a pre-game concert by Joshua Tree, a U2 tribute band! Following the game, Joshua Tree will perform at the Boston Billiard Club at Worcester!
