Bridgeport Islanders News Release
Bridgeport, Conn. - The Sound Tigers will have a special guest on hand for the team's home opener on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. WWE member and ECW Original, Tommy Dreamer will appear as the Sound Tigers' special guest, signing autographs prior to and during the intermissions.
"Dreamer," has been wrestling since 1993 and is best known as the "heart and soul" of the ECW because he is the longest tenured original. Dreamer has only held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once in his time with the company, which he won in 2000. He is seen in the company's most visible angles, both on and off screen. Dreamer is also involved in the booking, some of the business decisions, and, like a number of other ECW wrestlers, was part of the day-to-day operations of the company off screen.
All fans in attendance will also take home a magnet calendar that lists all of the Sound Tigers' games throughout the season. The game will feature introductions of each new member of the 2008-09 Sound Tiger roster, an updated version of the "Born in Bridgeport" video and new intermission games.
For more information about tickets to opening night or for different ticket packages, contact the Sound Tigers at 203-334-GOAL or e-mail info@soundtigers.com.
