
Rock Cats Take Final Game of Regular Season

New Britain, CT - Kyle Aselton struck out nine in five shutout innings as the Rock Cats closed out the season with a 3-1 victory over Binghamton.
Aselton (8-6, 4.24) allowed three hits while walking just one. Armando Gabino added 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief and Robert Delaney notched his fifth save of the season. The ninth inning turned interesting for Delaney and the Rock Cats, but he forced Fernando Martinez to fly out to left field with the bases loaded to end the game and the season.
The Rock Cats took a 1-0 lead in the fifth when Brandon Roberts' groundout knocked in Toby Gardenhire. Danny Berg added an RBI single in the sixth and Matt Tolbert tacked on another run with an RBI single in the seventh for the âCats.
Michael Antonini (1-3, 3.74) tossed six solid innings, allowing two runs on four hits, in the loss. The B-Mets scored on Emmanuel Garcia's RBI single in the seventh.
