Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release
MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Fine dining in relaxing accommodations has become one of the new staples of Myrtle Beach Pelicans games at BB&T Coastal Field. The Pelicans are pleased to introduce the Pelicans Restaurant at the ballpark. The fully enclosed restaurant, located in the luxury suite level, has the capability to comfortably accommodate forty people. Pelicans Restaurant is ideal for private parties or gatherings looking for an intimate yet spacious place to dine and watch the game.
The brand-new restaurant will feature large antique tables suitable for as many eight people per table. Pelicans Restaurant ranges 39 feet in length and 13 feet wide. The fully air conditioned restaurant will have a full-service wait staff for the convenience of those dining in Pelicans Restaurant.
If rented out for a specific ballgame, Pelicans Restaurant guests will receive eight VIP parking passes, which entitles the pass holders to park conveniently near the main entrance to BB&T Coastal Field. Furthermore, the restaurant is equipped with two 42" high-definition plasma televisions with full cable television access and a closed-circuit feed to watch the Pelicans game. In addition, groups renting out the Pelicans Restaurant will receive name recognition on the Pelicans state-of-the-art video board and be announced over the public address system.
"Pelicans Restaurant is a unique way for fans to enjoy a relaxing meal while maintaining a great vantage point to take in the game" said Pelicans' General Manager North Johnson. "Restaurants at baseball stadiums have become prominent at the major league level and we are happy to be bringing Pelicans restaurant to the Grand Strand to afford our fans that experience."
If Pelicans Restaurant is not rented out on a given night, general ticket holders will have the opportunity to eat in Pelicans Restaurant. There will be an A-Frame located on the main concourse that will let fans know whether Pelicans Restaurant is available on that particular evening. Pelicans Restaurant will be seated on a first come first serve basis.
Pelicans Restaurant will only be referred to as is for a short time. The Pelicans are asking their fans to come up with a creative name for the new area at BB&T Coastal Field. In the very near future, the Pelicans will be announcing a contest to name the Pelicans Restaurant with prizes awarded for the most creative name.
To reserve the only ballpark-based restaurant on the Grand Strand for any of the Pelicans 25 remaining home games, call the Pelicans at 843-918-6017.
