Rock Cats Pass 200,000 In Attendance

New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats welcomed their 200,000th customer of 2008 to New Britain Stadium on Thursday afternoon - reaching that fan support milestone on the earliest date in the franchise's 26-year history. The Eastern League Club achieved the attendance mark in the month of June for the first time in franchise history and just on their 41st home date of the 2008 Season; the previous earliest date to 200,000 in New Britain was July of 2007.

For the ninth consecutive year, the New Britain Rock Cats have drawn more than 200,000 fans to the Hardware City and have the longest consecutive streak of a professional baseball team in Connecticut to attract more than 200,000 patrons in a single-season. The Rock Cats' 2008 Season Total Attendance now stands at 201,174 - an average of 4,882 fans per game.

The New Britain Rock Cats are the Eastern League affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The Club plays a total of 71 regular season home games per year at New Britain Stadium, an attractive and easily accessible facility that opened in 1996. Fans interested in obtaining tickets to any of the remaining 29 home games may do so by calling (860-224-8383) or visiting the Stadium Box Office Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, or on Saturdays between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
