November 15, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Wichita Thunder News Release

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder today called-up rookie goaltender Layne Sedevie from the Indiana Ice Miners of the new Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL).

Sedevie (pronounced SED-uh-vee) was 3-0-0 with Indiana this season and earned the MAHL's first goaltender of the week honor. Prior to turning pro, Sedevie played four seasons at Bemidji State University, going 29-21-4 with two shutouts. His best season came in 2005-06, when he went 12-7-1 with a 2.46 goals against average and a .918 save percentage.

This is not Sedevie's first stint in Kansas, as he suited up for the USHL's Topeka Scarecrows in 2002-03, going an impressive 22-10-3. Sedevie replaces goaltender Sebastien Laplante, who was placed on team suspension.

The Thunder returns to action on Saturday at the first place Rocky Mountain Rage. Wichita's next home games are Friday and Saturday, November 23rd and 24th versus Mississippi and Oklahoma City. For more information, call the Thunder office at (316) 264-GOAL or visit the Thunder website at www.wichitathunder.com.
