Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

(Allentown, Pa.) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs have officially announced that all 144 games during their inaugural 2008 season will be broadcast live on the IronPigs Radio Network. WXLV 90.3 FM, located on the campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College (Schnecksville, Pa.) will serve as the "Flagship Station." All broadcasts will also air on HD Radio on ClearChannel Broadcasting's WZZO 95.1 HD-2, which will serve as the "Digital Home of the IronPigs."

The live broadcasts, which will include extensive pre-game and post-game shows, can also be accessed online at www.wxlv.org, www.wzzo.com and www.ironpigsbaseball.com. Terms of either deal were not disclosed.

"We are very excited to announce the foundation of our radio network," said IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes. "Being on an FM signal was a priority, and forming a relationship with a community station like WXLV will provide many opportunities for local students. Additionally, our agreement with WZZO offers us a chance to stay on the cutting edge of technology with a HD broadcast that blankets the region. We are proud to be affiliated with both LCCC and ClearChannel Broadcasting."

Flagship Station WXLV features a signal that reaches an estimated 295,000 households in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. The station is regenerating itself as "A Broadcast Service of Lehigh Carbon Community College" and with a new format of locally produced music and community affairs. LCCC signed a management agreement under the rules of the FCC in March 2006 with WDIY-FM and its licensee Lehigh Valley Community Broadcasters Association.

"WXLV is very proud to be the flagship community radio station for the inaugural season of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. This agreement provides another exciting opportunity for LCCC to expand its ongoing commitment to partner with other Lehigh Valley organizations, to serve the community and to create new opportunities to enhance the academic experience for our students," said WXLV Program Director Burr Beard, who previously spent nine years as station manager at WDIY. "Our mission of serving students will be well met -- and through this partnership, we will be able to continue providing real work experience in radio and digital audio production at WXLV. This partnership is rich in student internship possibilities."

Established in 1966, Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is a comprehensive, two-year, publicly supported community college. LCCC offers more than 40 associate degree programs and 25 certificate programs. The college is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and is sponsored by all nine school districts in Lehigh County and four of the five school districts in Carbon County. The mission of LCCC is "responding to the community by providing affordable, accessible, and high quality education." Information about LCCC is available at www.lccc.edu.

ClearChannel Broadcasting launched WZZO 95.1 HD-2 in 2006. Market Manager Richard Lewis said, "I am very excited that the IronPigs, the newest excitement to come to the Lehigh Valley, will be heard in high quality on the newest thing to come to radio, HD Radio. We are making history on many levels for the fans, for the team and for the Valley."

HD Radio is a brand name of a method of digital transmission of AM and FM radio stations that allows stations to broadcast high quality audio and additional FM channels without changing to new frequency bands. Like traditional AM and FM stations, HD Radio programming is free, but an HD Radio receiver is required. More information about HD-Digital Radio is available at www.hdradio.com.

Earlier this year, the IronPigs and Service Electric Cable TV, Inc. (SECTV), made Minor League Baseball history by announcing an agreement to televise all 72 home games live. All games will be televised on the IronPigs TV Network, which consists of SECTV, Service Electric Cablevision, Blue Ridge Cable and WYLN35

The team announced it will continue to seek addition affiliates for the IronPigs Radio Network.
