Beloit Sky Carp News Release

On Wednesday, May 23rd, Danny Ewoldt came to Pohlman Field thinking it was just going to be another regular Snappers' game. Boy was he way off.

Beloit's Chris Parmelee hit a home run in the bottom of the eighth inning off of the scoreboard meaning one lucky fan was about to win $500 courtesy of West Bend Mutual Insurance Company. Danny's ticket number was randomly drawn and he turned out to be that lucky winner.

West Bend Mutual has teamed up with the Snappers this season to not only give $500 to a randomly selected fan each time a Snappers player hits a home run off the scoreboard, but also for a couple other things. Every time a Snappers player hits a home run at Pohlman Field, $50 will be donated to the Stateline United Way courtesy of West Bend Mutual and the Snappers. Also, if a Snappers pitcher strikes out 18 batters in one game, $1000 will be given to a randomly picked fan, thanks again to West Bend Mutual.

"We are extremely happy to have West Bend Mutual a part of the Snappers' family for the 2007 season," said General Manager Jeff Vohs. "The support they have shown us has been incredible. We look forward to remaining involved with West Bend Mutual for many years to come."

Now is your chance to purchase tickets for the FIRST PLACE SNAPPERS! Tickets are still available for a number of home games. Contact a Snappers' representative at 608-362-2272, visit our website at www.snappersbaseball.com, or stop by Pohlman Field located at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit for more information.
