Sacramento River Cats News Release
West Sacramento, Calif. - Despite a solid performance by starting pitcher Brad Knox, the Sacramento River Cats fell to the Tucson Sidewinders in a Sunday matinee at Raley Field, 3-1. Knox, making his second Triple-A start and his first at Raley Field, threw a team season-high 8.0 inning, allowing juts 3 runs. The River Cats offense, however, was unable to get big hits as the team stranded 12 base runners in the game and at least one in 8 of the 9 innings. First baseman Daric Barton led the Sacramento offense, going 2-for-5 on the day with his 3rd home run of the year accounting for the River Cats' lone run in the game. Hiram Bocachica and Kurt Suzuki chipped in with two hits apiece as Sacramento falls to 19-11 on the year.
