The Omaha Royals scored four runs in the fifth on their way to a 9-1 win over Oklahoma Sunday at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Graham Koonce hit a three-run homer in the fourth to put the Royals on top 7-1.
Oklahoma (16-14) saw its four-game win streak end as starter Bruce Chen (0-1) struggled through 4.1 innings, allowing five runs on six hits. Freddy Guzman led the way for the RedHawks, going 2-for-4 with two doubles.
Omaha (14-17) collected 13 hits as five hitters had two hits apiece. Omaha starter Tyler Lumsden (2-3) allowed one run on five hits over six strong innings for the win.
The final game of the series is Monday at 12:00 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
