Ottawa Lynx News Release

Ottawa - The Baltimore Orioles designated Lynx RHP Eddy Rodriguez for assignment today, meaning he will not be active for the Lynx. The Orioles have ten days to do one of the following things: trade him, release him, or put him on waivers and, provided he clears waivers, outright him to the minors.

Rodriguez, 25, is 3-1 with a 1.79 ERA and 12 saves this season for the Lynx. He has spent two separate stints with the parent Orioles this season, compiling a record of 1-1 with a 7.20 ERA in nine games with the big club this season. He spent all of the 2005 season with the Lynx.
