New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release

Game Keys - Jose Veras extinguished the Oklahoma City ninth inning rally to earn his first save of the season and preserve a Zephyrs 8-7 win on Sunday.

Jason Lane drilled a two run home run the sixth inning to tie the game. The Z's grabbed the lead in the seventh inning on a two out single from Emilio Bonafacio. Jorge Sosa gets the win and Willie Eyre takes the loss for Oklahoma City. The Z's were outscored 24-4 in the first two games but recover winning the final two and get a spilt against the division leaders.

Game Notes: Shortstop Donnie Murphy was activated from the disabled list and Hunter Mence was assigned to Class A Jupiter. The Z's will make another roster move on Monday as Brad Stone is slated to get the start for New Orleans against the Cubs. Stone will be promoted from Class AA Jacksonville.
