
Z's fall to Albuquerque

New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
The Albuquerque Isotopes scored eight runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and defeated the New Orleans Zephyrs 8-5 in front of 12,126 at Isotopes Park. The Z's scored the games first five runs and led 5-0 heading into the eighth inning. Ricky Ledee broke out of his slump by driving home three runs. Z's starting pitcher Brian Lawrence worked the first seven innings and did not allow a run. The Isotopes sent 11 batters to the plate in the inning and reliever Willie Collazo suffered the loss. Former Zephyr Josh Labanderia drilled a single to score the go ahead run. Chris Ashby followed up with a two run home run off Jon Adkins make the score 8-5. Roy Corcoran pitched the ninth inning and earned the save.
Game Notes: The eight runs allowed in the eighth, the most allowed the Z's in a inning this season .... The New Orleans Zephyrs added former UL Lafayette star Corey Coles to the roster today. He had been at Class AA Binghamton ... Batted .296 with a HR and 22 RBI in 66 games .....
Coming Up: The Z's and Isotopes will play a doubleheader on Sunday starting at 5:05. New Orleans will start RH Philip Humber and Mike Pelfrey against Jesus Silva and Ben Julenial.
